I rented this apartment for 8 days with older sister and my mother (much 'younger' than her 91 years), so that she could visit Florence in comfort. The stay was wonderful - although Via Faenza is a busy street, it is centrally located so that we could walk everywhere (I told you Mom was not your typical 91 yr old), and have access to shops for some groceries (and wine!), restaurants, markets, and of course sights such as the Medici Chapel and the Duomo right down the street. Marjan (the manager) was so understanding of our delayed arrival (missed flight to Rome, bad traffic getting out), and very helpful overall with her neighborhood info before we came, etc. But really, there wasn't much she had to help us with, everything was well-appointed and easy with the apartment. If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs, there are people on the street at late hours, plus the street sweepers, and the tourists pulling their wheeled luggage down the cobblestone street (as we did). Otherwise, enjoy the fact that you are 'living' in Florence, even for a short while and you don't even have to deal with Air B&B, or HomeAway, or anyone like that. Thank you, Trip Advisor, for helping me find this place, and thank you, Marjan, for your excellent property management.

Very nice and clean apartment. The main bedroom is very spacious and the twin bed room is spacious enough. If you are 6 pax. 2 must sleep on a sofa bed which might be a little too small. The internet works well and Marjan was very kind. Only down side is the noise in the morning and afternoon from the trolleys on the way or home from the nearby market. The people sleeping in the livingroom are affected by the noise, not people sleeping in the other rooms. We had a great experience in this cosy flat.

We found everything like described and shown at the owners photographs. The apartment is located in the neighbourhood of good restaurants and bars. Around the corner you will find the large Florence street market and the market hall with a lot of eating places. It's only a few minutes walk to the Dome, the Pallazo Vecchio and the fashion brand shops. Very good breakfast at the Caffe Sabatino just 30 steps down the road from the apartment. We enjoyed our five nights stay very much.

    Perfect Home Base In Firenze
"Geranio Apartment" was a perfect place to use as our home base for 12 days in Florence. Marjan from irentintuscany.com was excellent to work - very responsive to numerous inquiries we had, and was there to meet us and explain the apartment. The pictures show exactly what the apartment looks like and it was very clean. Having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths gave my sister and I lots of space. Only thing I would recommend is the addition of a more comfortable lounge chair and a coffee table in the living room. The location could not have been better, 10 minute walk from the train station on a "car free" street and in walking distance of almost everything. We loved seeing the vendors from San Lorenzo market moving their carts each morning and evening. Very close to a large supermarket (near the train station) and the Mercato Centale which is a "foodie's" paradise. We plan on staying here again in 2 years when we return to beautiful Firenze.

Superb location - within walking distance of bus & train stations and it is in the heart of Florence! Apartment has a small kitchen but well stocked with all necessary utensils. Beds are comfortable and we found the room quiet. There is air conditioning and also a fan in the second bedroom. Apartment is on the first floor and well secure. Collecting the keys was timely as we let agent know when we had landed and when we were on the bus to Florence so it all smoothly. Same with departure, agent was there bang on time. Very professional. Would happily stay here again!

Two clean and tidy bathrooms were very good as we were travelling with our teenage daughter. Good wifi connection. Kitchen was well equiped. We loved Florence, there is a lot to see and when you wander out of the tourist areas some great pastry, coffee, gelato and dining locations can be found.....at better prices. Marjan was a helpful and polite host.

We loved staying here it was very convenient to everything. Very close to the train station. We walked to the apartment with 5 people and our roll around luggage. The kids are 8, 11, and 15 and everyone managed just fine. There are good places to shop for food if you want to cook in the apartment. We did a little of both, eating out and staying in. It was very comfortable and clean for the 5 of us. The owner was very nice and helpful. Also, the AC worked!! We were there end of July/beg of August. To get to the main sites was less than a 10 minute stroll. It was a nice place to end up after a long day of site seeing. The street is closed to traffic, and you can watch people go by from the upstairs windows.

    "Great apartment in great location."
A very well equipped flat which maximises the space available. Always lovely and cool, even without the efficient air con. Location is perfect, near to station, central to Duomo and other main points of interest, next block to the central food market and San Lorenzo. The street is lively and full of bars and good, reasonable little restaurants. We particularly liked Katti. Even so, flat is not at all noisy, and bedrooms are at the back, with comfy beds. Marjan was prompt to communicate, helpful and friendly. All in all, very good value for money and I would definitely return. Bonus is that it is above a nice little quiet bar and ice cream shop!

    My second hi
This well equipped apartment was absolutely perfect for our girls only holiday!
Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and the most perfect location.
For us it was the feeling of being part of the community, from the sound of the carts on the way to the market each morning to the greetings of the gelato shop owner downstairs to watching the barber across the street performing his daily chores when we had our morning coffee.
All the main attractions are within easy walking distance so very convenient. Supermarket and launderette a few metres away!!
All in all it was perfection for us and Marjan the host was very sweet, helpful and very accommodating, would not think twice in booking this again.

We stayed in this cosy apartment (2 adults/2 teens) for 4 nights from 30 Dec 2014. The manager, Marjan, was so lovely and helpful. She was also very prompt in meeting us and in all her communication with us. The place was very comfortable and location brilliant. The two single beds in the second bedroom was great for the kids . Only problem with this room was that there needed a curtain in this bedroom to block the light coming from the living room. Only one flight of stairs up to the flat. It is in a great location- short stroll to main train station, nearby supermarkets and central city attractions. The tenants above us were quite noisy and the walls are fairly thin so we experienced a bit of noise within the flat. The kitchen is small and the utensils (knives) etc need updating/sharpening. There is no washing machine but Marjan showed us where to find a laundromat which was 2 mins from the flat . Overall we had a great stay here and would recommend.

Host ReplyIt was very nice meeting you and your family and hosting you all. I'm glad you liked the apartment and enjoyed your New year Eve here. Unfortunately, the new year eve in particular is rather noisy specially in Florence because many Italians and tourists flood into the city to celebrate. That is why the apartment above which is vacant throughout the year was occupied and they had guests too. The walls are quite thick and there's never been a complaint of noise.

Thank you for your suggestion about the knives in the kitchen. We will certainly replace them this week and would have been happy to provide you with new ones if I knew about them not being sharp enough. The daylight through the smaller bedroom window though can be easily blocked by closing the shutters as I demonstrated at check in. Unfortunately there is not a washing machine in the apartment as a result of shortage of space in this 13th century building, that is why we never advertised it as having one.
Hope to host you again for your next trip to Florence.
    Best wishes,
    Marjan

This apartment was perfect for us!
We arrived and departed by train and were able to walk to the train station.
The apartment was so convenient to everything - we walked everywhere!
Restaurants, cafes, two laundromats, gift shops, and small grocery stores are all just steps away.
The owner is delightful and provides an outstanding apartment that is exactly as described in the postings.
My family of 4 adults will definitely stay here again when we are fortunate enough to return to Florence!

    "Very convenient location"
We had a wonderful week's stay at 22 Via Faenza. It's a very convenient location for enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of Florence. Just a short 5-10 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station, and 5-10 minutes from the Duomo in the central tourist area. The flat was "as advertised". It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen and a small living room area. Air conditioning units are in the larger bedroom and the living room/kitchen area, while the second bedroom has a ceiling fan. During our first two days the weather was warm and humid, and the air conditioning units kept the unit comfortable. Then the weather changed to warm sunning days and cool crisp nights and we were very comfortable with the windows open. The only drawbacks are that the building is quite old - even though the flat has some modern conveniences - and the neighborhood can be quite noisy late at night. Several good restaurants within easy walking distance, and just around the block from the Central Market where you can shop like a Florentine. Given the cost and the location, I would definitely stay here again.
    October 2014
Host ReplyDear Guest, I'm glad that you have enjoyed your stay. As for the building being old, I should say that this is very common in the historic centers of Italian cities to live in the old bindings. Buildings are sometimes as old as 500 to 800 years old. We don't have new constructions in historic centers and tourists like it for this reason. Also I should add that all buildings and apartments have been modernized to fit the needs of who lives today. Our apartment has also been renewed less than 10 years ago and we keep updating anytime it is necessary by preserving it's glamour.
Hope to host you again in future.

The location was perfect, via Faenza was 2 minutes from the station and the duomo and no more than 5 to any of the major piazzas. The apartment was perfect - we needed two rooms and two bathrooms - these were very clean! It had plenty of space and all the necessary kitchen items. I always rate the wifi as it is one of the most important items on my list - and it was very fast and once again perfect for all our communication needs! Brilliant apartment and a perfect stay for us! Thanks Marjan who was a great host and helped us settle in with all the details and lists of restaurants as well as directions. Perfect stay!

This was our first visit to Florence so having a well-located, safe place to stay was important given I was traveling with my niece, her friend and my good friend. After our stay at Marjan's flat, my niece said it was her favorite place of our 2 week trip through Italy. It's only a short walk from the train station yet on a very relaxed, quiet, people-friendly street. We enjoyed hanging out at the local pubs and gelaterias in our neighborhood even late into the evening so there was a short walk home. The unit itself is clean, well-furnished and comfortable, just as the photographs reflect. It overlooks a mostly pedestrian street with easy access to laundry, mini-mart, restaurants and shops, even a barber right across the way. And having 2 bathrooms for 4 women was essential! All of the major sights of Firenze are walking distance with the leather and San Lorenzo market just around the corner, the Duomo about 5 minutes (a few more if you get sidetracked) and the Ponte Vecchio perhaps 15 minutes. We would often go out for morning coffee and exploring, then head back to the flat in the afternoon to rest, drop off shopping bags, and freshen up, then head out again. It was so close to all of the sights that we could come and go freely and spontaneously without a feeling of "commuting" from a neighborhood that required more excursion planning. If it started to rain and we needed to pop back for our umbrellas, no worries. In addition, Marjan was really responsive to my various e-mails before and during our stay and provided us with a nice list of restaurants, even taking the time to provide gluten-free recommendations for my companions. I would highly recommend Marjan's flat and hope to stay there again in the future. Am so glad that I cancelled my hotel reservation at the last minute and found her home - it made us feel as if we really living in Florence for a few days and definitely enhanced our enjoyment of Bella Firenze.

    “Great apartment for Florence visit”
This is a cozy, comfortable 2 bedroom apartment, nicely decorated, air-conditioned, centrally located, within easy walk to the station where the airport shuttle stops and to the major attractions. It is on a pedestrian street and the bedrooms are in the back, allowing for quiet sleep. Free Wi-Fi throughout the stay was terrific. The manager, Marjan, is easy to work with, very responsive via email, and able to offer helpful information. There are about 10 steep and narrow steps leading to the apartment, which are a problem only if traveling with heavy luggage. Good place to stay.

Well located apartment in the middle of everything. A lovely old street with cafés and shops. Apartment is a good size for our family of four we had 4 nights here. Internet great. Two bathrooms.
Apartment was very clean and in good working order.
Marjan was lovely and provided us with several options for shops and food.

Lounge room gets a little noise from the street at night which is to be expected however we were surprised how quite the bedrooms were. We had great sleeps.

We stayed here for three nights and wish it could have been longer. The apartment is all you could wish for, fabulously located in the heart of Florence, within walking distance to all the main attractions. It is immaculately clean, the beds are very comfortable and bathrooms modern. It has a real character about it,. “Charming apartment conveniently located”
I rented this apartment for the month of February and it was great. It is very convenient to all the major sights and located in a quaint part of Florence one street from a huge market. We felt safe and comfortable. The furnishings are basic Ikea, which is typical for many apartments in Europe, and are completely adequate. The kitchen is cute and functional and equipped with the basics.

The rental agent is a wonderful person and was very attentive and helpful.

I would highly recommend this apartment for your next trip to Florence.

If you are either arriving or departing Florence by train, this location is perfect, a five minute walk from the main train station. But even if you need the train, the location is still a big selling point. I especially like the fact that the Central Market (Mercato Centrale)with its cornucopia of fresh fruits, veggies, meats, etc. was just around the corner. The Duomo is a 5 minute walk. And even Boboli Gardens, across the river, is accessible on foot.

The apartment is cozy, but very adequate for a party of four. Everything was clean and functioning properly. The unit is one flight of stairs up and right on the street which, on one hand, makes for great people watching. On the other, it can be a little noisy. However the bedrooms are toward the back of the unit and away from the street. The beds are nice and firm and everyone slept well. The second bed has a opaque window into the living room the light from which might be problematic for some. Our group had no difficulty with it.

There is no dish or clothes washer in the unit. However, just down the street is a convenient laundromat where we were able to wash and dry our clothing. Indeed, in this busy urban neighborhood, there is virtually anything you need within a couple of blocks. It made touring Florence a wonderful experience. I would not hesitate returning on our next visit.

The flat was located near the train station and the Duomo. We were able to walk to restaurants, shops, and the market, as well as major sights. The location is convenient to everything including grocery stores for breakfast items. Our check in was quick and Nik was very helpful answering all our questions. He gave us restaurant and gelato suggestions which we used and we were very pleased. The flat is very comfortable - nice table and chairs for breakfast. The two bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable - nice bedding and towels as well. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and glasses. We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely flat.

Marjan was very accomodating when we arrived hours before the scheduled check in time in a wet rainy morning, arranging for us to drop off our luggage at the still-being-cleaned apartment as soon as we got into town. She also provided a very useful list of restaurant recommendations. We pursued several of them and were not disappointed (Trattoria Mario, da Nerbone [in the central market], and Trattoria Borgo antico).

The apartment was spotless, well laid out and a size perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Marjan was really sweet, very welcoming and friendly. Great location. We arrived quite late at night and it was less than a 10min walk from the train station with our four large cases. All the main attractions were within walking distance.Air conditioning was very efficient. We were delighted to meet Enrico who owns the Gelato under the apartment.Best ice cream and frozen in Florence and a lovely place to go for an early morning coffee and at for a nightcap before bed! Only minus point was that the bathrooms were a little dark.

Marjan was very helpful had a very nice flat which is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the train station and the flat is centrally located within walking distance of most of the major attractions in Florence. Only downside was the construction in the area of the flat which started first thing in the morning but it is of course a temporary condition. We were away most of the day so it wasn't a big problem. We stayed for 5 nights in June, it was a great apartment. The beds were comfortable the amenities were good. Everything you need is there. The stairs were good exercise. Very nice apartment in the heart of Firenze. On the first floor of the building. Big enough for 4-5 persons with a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Very clean as well. It was at a really good spot. Unfortunately we had no extra information about the city and it's main attraction from our host. . . .

Host ReplyVery nice and friendly couple. Everything went smooth at check in & out and didn't hear any complain. To understand JUST NOW that apparently they didn't like my hospitality as it seems that I was supposed to give some information without being asked for. I don't remember in the occasion of meeting Marina & her husband and any other occasion of not answering a guest's question!! and when I see interest in a guest to know about the neighborhood of course I say whatever I know that can be useful for them. If someone doesn't ask anything and don't even show any interest I think that they have already done their search and know everything and are not interested to hear more. I'm a bit disappointed about this review. My other reviews on this apartment and also more than 30 reviews on other properties indicate opposite. I'm happy that you liked the apartment!

“Comfortable flat in a perfect location!”
My two teenagers, my husband and myself stayed in this flat for four nights in March. The weather was quite chilly but the flat was cozy and well-heated. We especially appreciated the heated towel racks in the bathroom. We walked to the flat in 5 minutes from the train station. We found the flat perfectly located for exploring Florence. We were minutes from all the museums and beautiful piazzas. We wandered the few blocks to the beautiful Duomo every evening just to see it glowing huge in its square. There is a fantastic restaurant at via Faenza, 95-97, Trattoria Pizzeria Nerone. Excellent food, good prices. There is no laundry in the flat but a laundromat just a few steps down the road. The flat is above a great gelateria. The kids made friends with the owner and ate at least two gelato every day! The main market is one block behind the flat and the kitchen is pretty well equipped to prepare simple meals from fresh foods bought at the market. Marjan met us at the flat upon arrival and departure and was helpful with getting us phone reservations at the Uffizi and the academia, as well as with getting a taxi to the airport. When we return to Florence some day, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Marjan!!

    “A really great stay”
We are a family of six and we stay for 3 nights in this lovely flat.

the place was very comfortable, it was really close to everything, very clean and very comfortable rooms. The internet worked well as all appliances. The sofa bed in the living room is designed for people without back problems because the mattress is a little thin, but for a couple of nights really doesn't matter.
Finally everything was perfect and i recommend it anyway. Marjan was really kind with us, and she answered all ours questions it was a great service. And we would like to return without any hesitation.

My family of four stayed in this wonderful apartment the first few days of 2013. This two bedroom, two bath apartment is two blocks from the Santa Maria Novella train station, providing an ideal location for exploring all that Florence has to offer. The reservation payment process is easy via Paypal, and Marjan was there to make the check-in/check-out process a breeze!

Our family of four stayed in this lovely apartment for five nights over the Christmas period. We were welcomed by Marjan who had thoughtfully bought us an Italian Christmas cake, some champagne and some fresh fruit. The apartment was set up with all of the essentials that we needed (ie cooking oil, dishwashing detergent, salt & pepper, tea & coffee, garbage bags, soap etc).
The apartment is excellently located (it is on top of a gelatto shop!). We walked to all of the sights that we wanted to see. The leather markets and the central food market were close as were many fantastic family restaurants.
We hope to return to Florence one day and would love to stay here again.

Great apartment and location!! This was one of our favorite destinations on the trip. Accommodations were very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed (including full size coffee pot!!). The manager, Marjan, could not have been helpful and accommodating - a sweetheart. But the location...ideal! The Markets are one street over! Our favorite restaurant is just one block towards the small Duomo (Trattoria Da Guido...order the fresh pasta with pear - to die for!) and the bus/train station only two blocks away. Another highlight is the Gelatto store downstairs and the owner, Enrico, a delight and speaks great Engligh (tell him hello from the Texas ladies). Everything is within walking distance. We will definitely want to stay here on our next trip and have already recommended to friends!! Much to see in Florence, so plan to stay four nights. We only booked 3 nights and regret not having more time. Enjoy!

A lovely small apartment in fantastic location for sightseeing, everything within short walk. Very comfortable and clean with friendly and efficient service for prompt check-in/out. Thoroughly recommended. However, be aware that if you need to use the sofabed there is noise from the street below overnight in the lounge.

This flat at via Faenza 22 is perfect. Everything is within in walking distance - The Duomo, Marcado San Lorenzo, Acedemia, Uffizi, the train station - all within minutes. We loved the location because we could take in sights in the morning and then enjoy the apartment's a/C for a few hours before heading back out for the evening. Marjan was very accomodating and easy to reach during our stay. We will stay here again.

    Great stay in Firenze
My family and I were in Firenzi for two weeks this July and staying at this cozy and charming flat made all of the difference for our experience in Italy! The place is well located, well equiped and well cared for. We loved it and felt really at home!
Not only were we comfortably accomodated and had easy access to all amenities we needed, but enjoyed Marjan's friendly welcome and constant attention.
We definetly consider going back and staying at this apartment again (maybe for a bit longer next time).

    An Ideal Experience
The lovely two bedroom flat in the heart of Florence was just as advertised. It was located in a perfect location. The flat was well maintained and very clean. We stayed there for almost a week with two couples and there was more than enough room for all of us. The best part of the experience was Marjan. She was a joy to work with prior to the visit and was a perfect concierge during the visit. She was always available and always helpful. Marjan truly made Florence our favorite place to stay.

We all adored the place in Florence. We were 5 traveling with my 12 year old twins and 80yr old father. The place is very charming and comfortable. Decorated so it feels like you are in Tuscany. We had plenty of hot water (which is usually an issue) and great air conditioning. Very easy walking distance to the train station (even for my Dad), Doumo and Ponte Vecchio Bridge. 10 steps up to the flat that were easy, even for my Dad, to handle. The best Gelato place just below - we visited several times a day. Say "Hi" to Enrico and try the chocolate milkshake. The street vendors are right around the corner, selling wonderful leathers and many other items. Marjan left us little coffee amenities which was a nice touch. She was very kind to hold our luggage and allow us in as early as she was able to. We can't wait to visit and rent from her again! Thank you for a great experience Marjan!

My husband and I, retired seniors and our
daughter stayed here for one week. We were very happy with the accomodations. Our room had a king size bed and an ensuite bath and our daughter's two bed room had the lovely bath across the hall. Everything was exactly as suggested in the ad and was very clean and comfortable. It was also situated very conveniently to many of the favorite tourist attractions as well as the necessities such as markets and laundromats. We had a very enjoyable time in Florence and would certainly stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.,

Although my husband and I with our 2 adult children, stayed here for 2 nights only, we felt very comfortable and safe in this Florentine flat! We loved the 2 bathroom feature...that was a great plus. Central aC was another great option when needed. Very accessible to the train station, ATM, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, shopping and all the historical sights. But most of all, the hosts Marjan and Nick are the stars of this rental property. All of you who have dealt with them, know. For those who are on the fence, just do it...this is a great place to stay in Florence!!!

This two bedroom apartment has everything you need in a location that's close to train station and within walking distance to most all of Florence's sites. Beautiful and clean, up 1 flight of stairs from the street level, we enjoyed the people watching and being part of the local routine (after we got used to the street noise!). Rental agency is close by and Marjan was always available to help us with any advice we needed on restaurants, or getting around the city. She made us feel at home immediately for our 4 night stay. We would definitely come back again and stay longer - tremendous value for your money, with everything you need close by!

    Great Location in wonderful Florence
Our party of two older couples throughly enjoyed staying at this flat. It is in a great location: close to the SMN train station, close to the Central Market with other day-to-day shopping immediately below and nearby to most of the attractions of Florence. The relatively new traffic arrangements in Florence means that the flat is very quiet. Marjan was extremely helpful with initial advice and follow-up help with the WiFi and TV. While there is no washing machine, the laundromat is just a few steps away and very convenient. Overall, it more than met our expectations and we would happily recommend it to all.

The apartment is very central, it is clean and beautifully decorated. Marjan is very helpful and we appreciated the fruit she left for us and the umbrellas she let us borrow.
It was a delight to walk out the front door and be only a few minutes away from any major sight. There is plenty to do in Florence and lots of lovely eating places especially home made ice-cream.

Seven of us (four adults, three teens) fit in this flat very nicely. One of the kids had to sleep on the floor each night, but otherwise it suited our needs rather well. 2 bathrooms - very clean and up-to-date. Nice little kitchen. We loved sitting at the open window and watching the passerbys. A very convenient walk to the Duomo and all the action. Marjan couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. The Gelato Shop below us was an added bonus! Close to the train station.

This was the perfect quaint apartment on a pedestrian only street in the center of Florence. The location could not have been better-- close to the train station where we took a day trip to Siena, close to the Mercato Centrale where we bought fruit, cheese, bread, and sweets, close to the Duomo and a short distance from the Ponte Vecchio. It was a truly magical experience and we would recommend the apartment wholeheartedly to all travelers to Florence.Marjan, the rental agent, was professional, accomodating, kind, and extremely helpful-- many thanks to her!!

We have stayed in many hotels and apartments in Florence.
This apartment is the best one so far.
We stayed in January with a party of 6 people.
Nicely decorated, bonus with 2 bath rooms and there was plenty of room.
Supermarket next door, restaurants and market on door step.

Great, roomy flat in the middle of everything in Florence (near train station, market, Duomo, etc). My family (4 adults and 1 toddler) spent 3 nights here in late December. Quiet street and separate BR let our kid sleep while we enjoyed Tuscany's vino :) The manager provided a crib and was very helpful in making our stay as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Florence.

At the outset I must say that the reviews that I had read of this apartment before making the reservation were absolutely spot on. This apartment is in a very old building and has been renovated. It is absolutely beautiful and offered a lot of comfort and space to our family of four. The apartment is fantastically located-only a few hundred meters from the Santa Maria Novella train station and in an area full of lovely shops. All the necessary conveniences such as a supermarket, laundry, pharmacy are right next to or around the apartment. The hostess Marjan was absolutely fabulous and extremely kind. She explained everything about the apartment and the area to us and even referred us to some lovely restaurants. We were actually very sad to leave Florence and especially this apartment and would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Florence.

Thank you to Marjan for everything. The flat really got all we needed: great location, a great place to relax and to rest after walking in the streets of Florence. Kitchen is small but ok, and anyway there's no need for big kitchen in Italian town full of great restaurants! Beds were comfortable and we sleeped so well. It was really good service in all ways: we had information about restaurants, places to shop, and got also a possibility to make an online check-in to flights. And due to a comfortable flat and lovely Florence our teenaged boy did not even get bored during a holiday :)

We (myself, my mother, and my husband) stayed here for 5 days/4 nights in September and we had an absolutely fantastic time. The apartment is so charming and comfortable. Plus, it is in a terrific location as far as restaurants, sites, museums, and such. I would highly reccomend (and have already) staying here when visiting Florence. Plus, Marjan, the host, is so kind, sweet, and helpful. She really made our stay wonderful.

Our family stayed here during our recent trip to Florence and had a great stay. Based on the location alone I would gladly stay here again. The apartment is a short and easy walk to the train station, and we like being so close to the market. Best of all, it's on a fantastic street with plenty of great restaurants and restricted traffic so we didn't have to worry about cars while our young boys played in the street.

Marjan was our host, and was fantastic! She's located directly across the street, so she was always available and easy to reach. She went above and beyond in making our stay enjoyable. She met us at the apartment when we arrived, and provided us with everything we needed. She even helped us after we had checked-out and were delayed several hours due to a train logistics. The bottled water and fresh fruit and vegetables in the room were also a great surprise upon our arrival after a long day traveling.

The apartment is comfortable, and worked well for our family. The only addition I could recommend would be internet service, but with the internet cafe located right across the street, even this wasn't much of an inconvenience.

We hope to return again, and would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Florence.

Apt is in great location. 5 minute walk to train station if you are traveling to other places in Italy. Much better value than a hotel. Lots of room. Very clean. Small shower in one bathroom but that's to be expected in Italy. Marjan was very helpful in answering our many questions that ranged from sights in Florence to renting a car. We were very pleased with Marjan and the apt.

The lovely apartment on Faenza has it all. Location, comfort and true Florentine ambiance. Start your day with a pastry and cappuccino from the best pastry shop ever, right around the corner. Then go to the market to get your dinner stuff. Drop everything off at the apartment and go exploring. Day trip? No problem. The train station is less than a five minute walk. Finish your day with a gelato from the gelateria right below the apartment, better than Vivoli's. Alas, I have to stop the accolades as I probably will never be able to get a reservation there again.

The apartment was exactly as advertised and in a really quiet and pleasant district of Florence. Enrico, the owner of the next door ice cream shop (recommended) and caretaker of the keys. saw to our every need and question. The apartment is very cute and was very comfortable. The only warning, was for us a good thing. In the mornings the traders can be heard hauling their carts to the Central market, literally around the corner. A great alarm clock for those who like to get in on first sale deals. We really enjoyed our stay in Venice and would definitely look to this "Old Town apartment" for our first choice on our next visit.

“Great apartment in the center of Florence”
Yes, it is a "Lovely two Bedroom flat in the heart of Florence". There were five of us ladies "of an age" for a week+ in Florence. The apartment was perfect. Location couldn't have been better-steps away from the "must" see sites. Centrale Market just a block a way. Good restaurants nearby. The apartment was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Marjan was great. Enrico (downstairs at the Gelato shop was exceptionally nice). Definitely recommend this place.

Fyi - there are about 8-10 narrow steps going up to the apartment, it was not an issue for any of us but could be for other travelers.
